What is Tunio Spot
Tunio Spot (Tunio Link) is a desktop client for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android TV boxes that protects your broadcast from network dropouts. The app connects to a station via a broadcast code, plays the live stream, and caches the last 30 tracks locally. When the connection blips or disappears for a longer period, Tunio Spot switches to the cached tracks and jumps back to the live stream as soon as the internet is available again.
Prepare the broadcast code
Open cp.tunio.ai
Sign in and use the left-hand menu to open “Tunio Link”.
Pick the station
The page lists all stations available to your account. Choose the one you want to play through Tunio Spot.
Copy the broadcast code
Each station has a unique code. Copy it — you will enter it the first time you launch the desktop app.
Download the app
All official builds are listed on tunio.ai/en/tunio-link#downloads. Grab the installer for your OS (Windows, macOS, Linux, or ARM/Android TV) and install it like any other desktop program.
Connect the station
Launch Tunio Spot
Run the app on the device that will play music on-site.
Enter the broadcast code
The first screen contains a single input. Paste the code from the “Tunio Link” page in your dashboard and confirm.
Verify playback
If the code is valid and the internet is available, the app starts streaming your station. During network outages it silently switches to the cached tracks and automatically returns to live playback once the connection is restored.
We recommend using an affordable Android TV box such as X96 Mini. It has an analog audio jack, and once Tunio Spot is installed the app acts as a launcher, so it starts automatically every time the box boots.
Tunio Spot can now run in the background — include it in your venue opening routine to ensure the music keeps playing even when the internet is unstable.
